He was the son of Caroline Lee Bouvier Canfield and Polish aristocrat and diplomat Prince Stanisław Radziwiłł, and a nephew of former First LadyJacqueline Kennedy.

Born in Lausanne, Switzerland,[1] Radziwiłł was the son of socialite/actress Lee Radziwiłł (younger sister of First Lady Jacqueline Bouvier Kennedy) and Prince Stanisław Albrecht Radziwiłł.
