               John Edward Allen, age 82, of Allegan, MI formerly of DeWitt, MI, passed away Tuesday, September 3, 2024, at Ascension Borgess Hospital, Kalamazoo, MI.
               Funeral Services will be held at Smith Family Funeral Homes, St.

          Louis, MI, at 11:00 A.M. on Tuesday, September 10, 2024, with Don Hendrick officiating. Burial will take place at Ridgelawn Cemetery, Breckenridge, MI. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, from 10:00 A.M. until the time of the service at the funeral home.
               John was born in Goodrich, Michigan on February 11, 1942, the son of Philip Marion and Lois (O'Morrow) Allen.

          On February 11, 1961, John married Wilma Ann Bott in Wheeler, Michigan. They were married forty-eight years prior to her passing on March 22, 2009. On April 30, 2016, John married Joyce Strand and has enjoyed the last several years with her.
